It was announced that OTIS Incorporated of Slidell, LA has been selected to provide support to EDS of Plano Texas to provide voice services on the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) project. In the largest competitive outsourcing RFP in DOD history, the Dept of Navy awarded the Information
Strike Force, led by EDS, a $6,938,817,954 multi-year firm fixed price (with performance incentives) contract for the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet.

The NMCI will provide secure, comprehensive, end-to-end information services through a common computing and communications environment that supports the Department of the Navy's core business, scientific research, computational and warfighting activities. It will enhance interoperability, security and
information exchange capability for Navy and Marine Corp users.As a small minority-owned business, OTIS will be able to provide new job opportunities.
